Family photos on canvas – a CanvasChamp review

Family photos on canvas

With thanks to CanvasChamp for providing a canvas print for review. These are my own, honest opinions.

My computer is heaving with a massive 43,000+ photos. How many do you think are hanging on my walls? Almost none! Even my Step Mum asked why we don’t have family photos on display. There’s no real explanation. I simply didn’t think I had the time or budget to put photos on canvas.

Then I heard about CanvasChamp. It turns out that putting photos on canvas is easy, quick and affordable! CanvasChamp is a very user friendly online system. I was impressed at the simple and intuitive process. The hardest part is choosing your photos and the size. There’s a large range of sizes and shapes, including square, panoramic, large and small.

I’d always assumed putting photos on canvas would be expensive. The prints at CanvasChamp are very affordable. The smallest size is a 20x20cm square at only $6.95, on sale. The bigger size, like the family photo, is 40x50cm and was $29.01, on sale. They’re so reasonably priced I think I could develop a CanvasChamp addiction.

The other amazing thing about CanvasChamp is the delivery time. The website says ‘lightening fast shipping’ and they don’t lie! I ordered my prints on a Friday night and they had arrived by the next Tuesday. How amazing is that?

Photos on Canvas by CanvasChamp

I was clearly wrong about getting photos on canvas being too much hard work and costly. CanvasChamp allows you to get the photos off your computer (or even Facebook or Instagram) and on to canvas from the comfort of your lounge room. Now I realise how simple the entire process is, I won’t hesitate to bring more family photos to life on canvas. Mr Wallace ought to be happy, he’s often commenting about all the professional photos we have done, but do nothing with. If you’re like us and have beautiful photos that are trapped in your computer, it’s really very easy to get them onto your walls.

Family photos on canvas would make a perfect mother’s day gift. I think the grandmother’s in our family would all love to receive photos of their grandchildren, ready to hang on the wall. Again, the toughest part would be selecting my favourite pictures!

CanvasChamp offers

If you check out the CanvasChamp website, you’ll see that they have lots of different offers available. I took advantage of the free 8″x8″ canvas print by signing up to the newsletter.

Do you have photos that you’ve been meaning to frame or put onto canvas? Newborn photos or family pictures? If time or cost has been holding you back, take a look at CanvasChamp.

  1. What a great idea! Glad you could do this. And, congrats on beating me with how many photos on your computer. I have around 37, 000 and no matter how much I ‘try’ to delete some, they come back LOL.

Great plan to have these on canvas as they do not have to be hung on a wall if you do not want. As we are renting, we have to lean any of our photos in frames against a wall, or place them on top of a cabinet.

    There would be very flexible.

    Awesome post.

    1. I know what you mean about leaning canvasses against the wall! It’s my default while I work out where to eventually to hang them. That’s second hardest part, after picking which of the thousands of photos to print!

  2. I actually doubt I have many on my laptop at the moment, but only because it’s new and I haven’t transferred any off my phone yet. My phone and the portable hard drive have thousands! It’s a bit sad how we make all these memories then do nothing with them. I need to print more photos out too {and could develop a canvas champ addiction as well haha}.

    1. They’re so reasonably priced and such a simple way of bringing photos to life, that’s why I’m developing an addiction!

  3. Oh boy, you don’t want to know how many photos I have, 43,000 is only about the amount of photos I take over 2 years! They look really great, and will definitely make a fabulous gift too!

  4. recently I needed to go through all the old photos for my mum’s 70th birthday. It was a great laugh and I enjoyed reminiscing. But it was a lot of work getting the photo and then trying to upload and blow up at the local photo shop. I love how easy this looks with CanvasChamp – I’m heading here next time.

  5. Oh my gosh!!! You may start an addiction in the Purtell family too. The frames on my family wall are $50 a pop…. and I have had 4 fall off and smash!!!! Not happy!!! No chance of that happening with canvas 🤭

    1. That’s very true! With all my boys I’ve stopped putting glass on the walls, too many balls flying about the place!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
