Gosh, the biggest lad is 6! Time for another birthday interview. The biggest lad has started school and is really growing up. I’m very proud of how he’s settled into kindy. With the exception of occasionally asking me to do his homework for him, he’s interested in learning and seems to be well liked among his peers.
I read over the biggest lad’s fifth birthday interview. I can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something more mature about his answers this year.
6th birthday interview
How old are you? 6.
What makes you happy? My birthday and everyone’s birthday in our family.
There’s a vibe to the biggest lad’s 6th birthday interview, it’s very focused on his birthday. Obsessed might be another word!
What is your favourite animal? The King Cobra.
I think someone has been watching too much Deadly 60!
What is your favourite thing to eat? Apple, cheese sticks and ham.
Last year the biggest lad had what I called a ‘white food diet’. While not much has changed, ham is a newish addition and it’s NOT white!
What is your favourite thing to do? Make lego.
What is your favourite TV show? Go Jetters and Octonauts.
What are you really good at? Twister.
What is your favourite movie? Finding Dory.
What is your favourite colour? Blue and red.
What is your favourite song? Who let the dogs out!
What a one hit wonder that was.
Who is your best friend? Harry and Sam (from football) and Ethan.
Harry is the biggest lad’s friend from childcare. Yet two terms into Kindergarten, he still considers Harry his best friend!
What do you and Mummy do together? We do Lego together.
What do you and Daddy do together? We make Lego too.
Did you guess that someone got a whole heap of Lego for his birthday?
What is your favourite sport? Running races.
Where is your favourite place to go? The Maritime Museum.
What is your favourite book? Wild World.
We got Wild World from the Zoo and it’s a perfect introduction to all sorts of wild animals.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A rocket driver.
You mean an astronaut? Yeah, an astronaut! He said a pilot in January, so there’s a theme here.
The July birthday are done! It is fun to spend a few minutes each year doing the birthday interview. I do wonder how the biggest lad’s answers will continue to change as he gets older.
What is your favourite birthday tradition?
